Tottenham, Napoli Impressed by Cissokho

Villa's LB has a few admirers this January.

Aly Cissokho has been nothing if not consistent for Villa since he joined in the summer. So consistent, in fact, that we have loaned out his two deputies, Antonio Luna and Joe Bennett to other clubs for the year. Now it looks liked we might need the pair back as Cissokho has attracted a keen pair of suitors in Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli.

If the threat of losing Ron Vlaar and Delph was not enough, Cissokho's departure would leave the team incredibly weak at the fullback position and Lambert would have to work hard to find a new replace, met incredibly quickly. A best case scenario might mean delaying the transfer until the end of the year or some sort of 'loan back deal'. Lambert has enough pressure already without a personnel crisis!

Of course, these are just rumours, but rumours from two prestigious clubs that can offer better pay and better football than Villa can right now and it might just be too good for Aly to refuse.
