Leeds Midfielder Catches Lamberts Eye.

Aston Villa are one of a number of clubs who appear to be interested in Leeds midfielder Alex Mowatt.

It's not all doom and gloom at Villa Park as the first news of Aston Villa actually looking to buy somebody has hit the 'net. As reported by The Mirror (Might want to take this with a pinch of salt, but there is no smoke without fire!), Paul Lambert has taken a shine to the young Leeds midfielder Alex Mowatt.

Mowatt, who is only nineteen years old has scored three goals in three games for the Yorkshire club and looks likely to be a replacement for Villa's Fabian Delph, who is almost a certainty to leave the club after a few England call-ups put him in the spotlight. Funnily enough, Delph joined us from Leeds, so we already know the midfield pedigree of the club.

Mowatt is also being chased by Everton's Roberto Martinez, which may be a worry to Villa's hopes of attracting the youngster, who has only just been called up to England's Under 20 team.

Mowatt wouldn't be put into the first team immediately as Leeds are looking for a 'loan back' deal even if Mowatt does move to the top flight in January. Things are slightly looking up, even if we are set to lose our best men.
