Tuanzebe and Abraham say 'goodbye' to the Villa

The pair of loanees have seemed to bid farewell to the club, but anything is possible in the transfer window.

Axel Tuanzebe and Tammy Abraham were both integral parts of Aston Villa’s promotion campaign last season, and from what we can gather from their social media posts over the past twenty four hours, that’s all they will be to the Villa - last season’s players.

It's a bit 'tin-foily', but both players seem to place their time at Villa as something that has been and gone - thanking the club for the past season.

It’d be a bit disingenuous and extremely 2019 to take a player’s Instagram post as a committed sign that they are done and dusted with Aston Villa, but at the very least these two social media posts do forecast that both players are looking to the future, and a future that is more than likely based at their current clubs.

However if this period of time - the transfer window - is known for anything, it's a change of mind and circumstance. It's a long, long transfer window and anything could happen. It's easy to presume from these social media posts that both players are done with their time at Villa - but posts is all they are. They aren't bids, offers, contracts or announcements.

Could Axel and Tammy make the move back to Villa Park? Possibly. It's just a little bit unlikelier than it was yesterday.

As with anything this summer, take it with an open mind, but also a pinch of salt. Anything is possible until the transfer deadline passes
