It seems that Jordan Amavi is on the move! Football Italia and L’Equipe are reporting that a number of team are chasing Jordan Amavi.
Fiorentina, Marseille, Nice are the teams with the biggest interest, while Monaco are circling. This plays into Villa’s hands as a bidding war for the left-back could see his £9m price tag rise.
After being left out of Villa’s first matchday squad, it does seem that Amavi is on the move, despite a decent pre-season with Villa after the collapse of his move to Sevilla.
Interestingly, the Frenchman could be off to his former stomping grounds in OGC Nice. Amavi is a supporter of the club and it would make sense, considering the fact that Nice are on the rise and offer European football (if they beat Napoli, that is).
It’d be quite funny if Amavi made the move to La Viola though. Simply because he’d link up with Veretout and Sanchez in Florence for Fiorentina. Aston Viola anyone? No? Ok.
Amavi’s move away will push Villa into financial security once more, with FFP currently strangling the club. A bit of breathing room would be nice.
