Dr Tony Xia announces that Villa’s squad is full - but there will be departures

There are no vacancies at Villa anymore!

Hours of anime watching has paid off for me - for once - as I, and many others, were able to crack Dr Tony Xia’s latest puzzle.

Unfortunately, the big boss isn’t hinting at any incomings - which effectively means Villa’s transfer business is over and thus the excitement of the transfer window has come to an end with the signing of Robert Snodgrass. The symbol next to the padlock can mean ‘full’ or ‘no vacancy’ - which with a padlock confirms a ‘locked down and full’ situation at Aston Villa right now.

The meat of this though, is that it appears someone will be leaving soon. All signs point to Ross McCormack leaving AVFC, but Tommy Elphick could be set for the door as well. Interesting.

So, with a few days left in this current summer transfer window, Tony has put the kibosh on any incoming deals, but we could still see some major outgoings that will help Villa balance their books - perhaps their biggest task yet.
