It’s been a quiet one for Aston Villa - that might have something to do with FFP regulations or Keith Wyness’ suspensions, but it’s quiet. That doesn’t mean that there’s no action though - here’s a breakdown of Villa’s transfer targets right now.
John Terry

The main man. Aston Villa are said to be a serious contender for John Terry’s signature after his Chelsea contract expires in the summer. Birmingham City have offered Terry a contract, but he will wait around until he gets a good deal - or a Premier League offer. Terry would certainly add to Aston Villa, but at what cost?
George Boyd

George Boyd would be a versatile and cheap signing for Steve Bruce to add experience to the Villa midfield. Boyd featured 33 times for Burnley as they found a place in the Premier League that wasn’t the relegation zone. Do Villa really need another midfielder though?
Sam Johnstone

Everyone knows that Villa are in for Johnstone - but he’s picking up Premier League interest after being made surplus to requirements at Old Trafford. Everton and Watford are the main contenders to his signature and it looks like Villa lose out with every day that passes.
