Aston Villa and Tony Xia have today confirmed the long awaited transfer of Henri Lansbury who joins the Villans from Nottingham Forest after a successful bid in the region of £3.5 million.
Welcome to Villa,@lansburyhenri #UTV!

Forest are in a sorry state now and it’s no surprise that Lansbury has chosen to leave the reign of Fawaz Al-Hasawi who seems to be leading Nottingham Forest to the brink.
While it remains to be seen where Forest will end up next season, Henri Lansbury brings promise, creativity and energy to a Villa side sorely needing it. Lansbury has contributed six goals and three assists to the Forest cause thus far this season, which compares nicely to Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia who has scored nine goals with a single assist.
Lansbury, the Forest captain will be a big miss to the Reds and from their goodbte messages to him, it seems like Villa are getting a decent player.
