Aston Villa have been chasing Arsenal all month for one Mathieu Debuchy, but Villa boss Remi Garde has admitted that the move won't be happening.
Remi Garde also says no chance of Arsenal right back Debuchy of joining Villa #avfc

The move on Debuchy was deemed slightly pointless as Villa actually have some depth at the position with Micah Richards, Leandro Bacuna and Alan Hutton available for selection, but the fact that Aston Villa can't agree a loan deal is another blow that will leave a bitter taste in the mouth of Villa fans. It remains to be seen where Debuchy will end up, but it's likely going to be Sunderland and not Aston Villa.
It might just mean that this transfer window is a wrap and I do not get the sense at all that Aston Villa are preparing for the Championship, as they probably should be doing.
