And finally, just like that, transfer deadline day is over. Aston Villa have confirmed their final move of the day, a season-long loan of Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori.

The deal is supposedly going to cost Villa something in the £1-1.5 million range, but that comes with the exchange of having the player's wages covered by Liverpool. There is also apparently an option to buy Ilori at the end of the season should things work out. While the club has obviously said nothing concrete, reports are saying that the fee could be in the £6-9 million range, depending on appearances.
And just like that one of the most exciting summers in club history is over. Tim Sherwood bought twelve players, loaned in one, got rid of thirteen, and loaned out six. That's thirty-two moves in one summer. Not bad for his first year in charge.
