It's not the first French footballer that Aston Villa have been linked to under the reign of Remi Garde and it certainly won't be the last, but Loic Remy would certainly go a large part of the way to eventually filling the gaping chasm left by the departure of Christian Benteke.
Aston Villa have made an enquiry for Loïc Rémy, Swansea, Southampton & Crystal Palace are also all interested https://t.co/ukb8Q6ggy7

As reported by the 'reliable' Football France, Aston Villa have joined the chase for Chelsea's Loic Remy. Having moved from QPR back in 2014 following a stellar loan spell at Newcastle United, Remy looks set to leave Chelsea on a loan deal when the winter transfer window starts.
It's not that Remy isn't good enough to make the grade at Chelsea, but with attackers such as Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, anyone would be hard-pressed to cut it in the Chelsea strikeforce, even during their current run of form. Aston Villa might be a more realistic destination for Remy due to the finances they (may or may not) have available to them if their proposed clear out of high-earning benchwarmers is greenlit in January.
At any rate, Remy and Ayew up front certainly gives Villa a better shot of staying up at no risk to either party. Go for it Remi!
