Tomorrow’s edition of The Times will feature a report by Matt Hughes and Steve Madeley that will be of some relative comfort to panicky and worried Aston Villa fans.

The report suggest that Peter B Freund, a minority shareholder is preparing to put a £75 million offer in front of Aston Villa owner, Doctor Tony Xia.

Freund, an MiT graduate, is also the owner of Trinity Baseball Holdings, who have been involved in a number of Minor League purchases over the past few years.

Villa’s Chairman is believed to currently be located in his home country of China, and has been seeking investment to ensure the survival of the football club in years to come. With news breaking of an unpaid tax bill, and the suspension of CEO Keith Wyness, it looks like that hasn’t exactly happened.

It has certainly been a frenzy of activity in the past few days, but this report from a publication like The Times might be of some small comfort. Hang in there folks, we’ll keep digging. For more on this, you’ll have to grab the newspaper tomorrow morning.
