Holtecast 141, an Aston Villa podcast: Aston Villa qualify for Play-Offs and must avenge Mick McCarthy

Dani Raza is back and joined by James Rushton to discuss the latest AVFC news and results. What’s been happening since last time?

The Holtecast is back, and Aston Villa are back to winning ways. It’s good to settle back into routine.

And, well - I’m delighted to discuss this with the returning Dani Raza, who has had to up his game after a stellar Holtecast debut by the one and only Matt Lynch.

Spoiler - he did!

This week, I, James Rushton, am once more joined by Dani to discuss all things Villa. We talked a little bit about Cardiff, a little bit about Leeds before discussing the play-offs and their importance to Villa. Could a potential play-off final be the most important game in Villa’s recent history? There was also talk about the goals of Jack Grealish and Ruben Neves. A pair of BEAUTIES, before defending Josh Onomah and talking about the potential purchase of Robert Snodgrass. We also talk about Scott Hogan and Jonathan Kodjia’s performances as of late

What else? Well, we previewed the coming Ipswich Town game and discussed the Mick McCarthy situation more passionately than we perhaps should have done. Oh well, if you can’t passionately defend Big Mick on your own podcast, then when can you do it?

The Holtecast is an Aston Villa (and Mick McCarthy) podcast, and you can listen in below!

Holtecast Predictions:

Team Dani - 2

Team James - 0

Dani got the Preston 1-1 spot on to take a lead back in February, and he got the Sunderland score right. Two nil to that man.

James has predicted a 6-1 result against Ipswich.

Dani has predicted a 4-0 against Ipswich.
