Aston Villa are back, we're back and the Holtecast is back. There have been a number of developments over the Summer, meaning that Robert and Jack can no longer commit to a weekly podcast between the two.

However, 7500toHolte ran two podcasts and they now morph. James will be moving to host the Holtecast and will bring on someone from the world of Aston Villa to speak about the weekly developments of the club.

For the 111th episode of the Holtecast, we speak to Elis Sandford, native of Wales to discuss among other things, the hammering that Villa took in Wales.

Elis is of course a managing editor on this website, but he also went down to the game. That’ll be a fun discussion.

The meat of the podcast? James and Elis answer a sackful of Twitter questions, review the Colchester cup success and the Cardiff disaster while looking ahead to Tuesday’s clash at Reading and a return to Villa Park for Norwich on the weekend.

There were a few teething issues with audio - so bare with us on that. Budgets are holding us a teensy bit back as we iron out Holtecast 2.0, but we’ll get that sorted. We got a little bit excited and talked over each other just a bit too much - but give us that, it’s been a hard week!

If you’re on Apple News, head over to iTunes and Apple Podcasts, but otherwise - you can listen below!
