Introducing My Favorite Villa . . . a new series from the 7500 to Holte staff

The writers of 7500 to Holte are set to embark down memory lane . . . for as long as we need to before football’s back.

We’ve turned the calendar to April (finally), yet the return of sport still feels ages away.

As the COVID-19 pandemic marches into its second month, we’re starting a new series here on the site, titled My Favorite Villa…, that encourages our staff to write about their favorite Villa memories. We’ll cover territory that ranges from our favorite matches to our favorite players; our favorite managers to our favorite kits, as we keep our prompt open-ended.

Part of that, admittedly, is so we can keep the content going for as long as we need to — though hopefully, as Kirsten said in our chat, we’re done with the series before next August — but also to keep things fresh on the blog and to give our writers the freedom to write about whatever they’d like.

Alex Carson starts us out today by writing about his favorite Villa goal, and we’ll keep a running list of each installment below as it gets posted.

Thanks for following along, and stay safe during this outbreak. Up the Villa!
