Marvelous is the first Zimbabwe international to sign for the Villa and joins after a summer-long pursuit. The fee is rumoured to be in the region of £11 million and Marvelous is said to have signed a five-year deal on wages that cross £50,000 a week.
Nakamba will be the most experienced defensive midfielder in the squad and likely allow Conor Hourihane to push forward into a rotational attacking role. He'll also share the position with new signing Douglas.
Aston Villa Head Coach DeanSmith had the following to say about this latest signing: “Marvelous fits the criteria of the type of player we were looking for. He’s very mobile, he’s very good in possession and he will fit in with our style of play.”
It's a marvellous day.
