Aston Villa have completed their latest signing of an extremely busy summer by finalising the transfer of Tom Heaton from Burnley FC for a fee of eight million pounds.
Heaton, an established Premier League goalkeeper, brings experience to the Villa defence. He's also an incredibly talented goalkeeper - and may make a massive difference for the Villa.
Burnley's decision to allow Heaton to leave is no reflection on the player's ability. The Lancashire side are rich in the position - but may find themselves missing Heaton's authority at the back should the going get tough. Sean Dyche will move forward with Nick Pope.
As for Villa's goalkeeping situation, Jed Steer will likely make way for Heaton - and this will signal the end of Lovre Kalinic's time at the club and may also push Ørjan Nyland into a move away.
Heaton had been chased by Villa in December and they have finally gotten their man.
