Aston Villa officially reveal 19/20 home shirt

Paired with Tyrone Mings is an official look at Villa's new home shirt.

Aston Villa's latest home shirt has been officially revealed. All it took was for Tyrone Mings to step off the 17.15 to Walsall at Witton, directly outside of Villa Park.

The claret effort is paired by full light blue sleeves, which return following their absence last season. White shorts make up the kit with claret Kappa branding down the sides. In essence, the shirt is a more refined version of Under Armour's 2016 effort. It lacks the collar, though.

The reveal was a joint one - happening at the same time as the reveal of Tyrone Mings as an official Aston Villa player. Villa were stuck in a sore spot here - and probably decided to cut a loss. With a new kit days away from launch, it made sense to simply air it early with the signing of Tyrone.

As for Kappa, it's a promising first effort. Expect their other two shirts to be far more popular though.

The home shirt matches two leaks that aired in the past two weeks - in full. This means we can expect a sky blue away kit and a green third kit.

The club have confirmed that the shirt will go on sale on the 17th of July - so there's only one question left.

Will you be copping it?
