Aston Villa have today officially confirmed their second signing of the summer in the returning Anwar El Ghazi, who has now sealed a permanent deal after a successful loan spell.

The switch will see Villa acquire the Dutch winger from Lille OSC for a fee that is believed to be around eight million pounds.

Twenty-four year old El Ghazi joins on a four year contract, and the hope is that he will be able to reach his potential at Villa Park under the close eye of Dean Smith and his coaching team.

El Ghazi enjoyed a rocky start to life at the Villa, but quickly found his feet and became a key part of the side that earned promotion to the Premier League. Anwar scored six goals and made another six in the Championship last season.

Now, he'll ideally be a key man as Villa aim to stay there, Welcome back, Anwar!
