Tammy Abraham deserves a chance at the highest level

After Championship success, Tammy Abraham deserves a shot with his parent club.

Reports over the last night suggest that Tammy Abraham will think twice about another move away from Chelsea FC this season as he bids to become a part of their strikeforce. The striker wants a chance to give his all in the Premier League.

And for Villa fans, it should go without saying; there should be no hard feelings whatsoever.

Tammy, a near revelation for Aston Villa at the front in their promotion-winning season from the Championship, is of course contracted to Chelsea - and while Villa fans have certainly grown attached to the on-loan hitman, he has more than earned a chance at the Club that own his rights. A club that might not be able to sign a new striker.

And who are we to question that? Abraham was an Aston Villa (and our best goalscorer for a long, long time), but Chelsea have always hung over him for obvious reasons. It's his club! There have been a few comments complaining about Tammy's perceived 'attitude' and the complaining minority need to perhaps adjust their view. Tammy has earned his shot, and no - that doesn't make him 'too good for the Villa'. It just means his ambitious and wants his shot. It's his right.

Plenty of questions have emerged about whether the striker is good enough for the Premier League, but any negative answer to that question is without foundation. We simply don't know. And hey, it's not for us to answer. It's Tammy's question and the answer will fall onto his shoulders. He's deserved the chance to reply.

Tammy Abraham? He should move on with nothing but the best wishes of Villa supporters and while he may be a Chelsea player, he was certainly nothing if not made in Birmingham.
