Preview
Fresh off a loss against Manchester City, Aston Villa will welcome Wolves to Villa Park for a late-round Carabao Cup clash.
Villa will likely send out a rotated side differing to the one that faced Manchester City. Jed Steer should start in goal, while Ahmed Elmohamady, Neil Taylor, Ezri Konsa, Kortney Hause, Henri Lansbury and Conor Hourihane are expected to return to the side. Keinan Davis may get the start up front as well.
Wolves may field a heavily rotated side for this match - and will likely have one eye on their Premier League match with Arsenal this weekend. The Wolves will still be recovering from a sapping draw with Newcastle on the weekend, as well as a testing mission to Bratislava last week.
Villa have a strong chance of victory - if Wolves rotate their side out - but the Old Gold will be backed by a massive away following for a cup game under the lights at Villa Park. The victor will enter the quarter-finals of the competition and engorge their hopes of grabbing silverware this season.
The loser walks away.
