The Aston Villa of September 2018 are very much a 'one step forwards, two steps back's type of team. They are capable of winning games just as much as they are capable of sliding out droll results.
The fanbase is growing frustrated, and the players seem completely beaten. That's a worry, especially this early.
Next up are Bristol City. A team built on top of a project. A clear identity lifts them forward and they'll be looking for revenge against Aston Villa. Andi Weimann goal, anyone?
A big thanks to Bennett Berry for creating all of our match-day images throughout the season. Give him a follow.
