Six points, a win in the Carabao Cup. Villa? Are you ok? It’s only August!
We’ve still got two or so weeks left to see Villa carry out their best start to a campaign in a long while. While a good start is a really good thing in this league (see last season, when a good start like this would have guaranteed Villa automatic promotion), Villa still need to keep it up and keep the losses, and the draws, to a minimum.
They’ve got a perfectly good chance to do so today against an Ipswich Town side that still doesn’t really know what it is. Paul Hurst, formerly of Shrewsbury Town is in charge - and they are going to need a while to rebuild.
Results so far haven’t been at all brilliant, but they won’t have Villa take them for mugs. Not like last season. We’ll see how this pans out.
A big thanks to Bennett Berry for creating all of our match-day images throughout the season. Give him a follow.
We’re here. Kick-off commences soon, and you can find out how to watch Villa vs Ipswich below.
