With Nassef Sawiris installed as Villa's new owner, Wes Edens planted on the board and cash in Villa's coffers, it feels like a cloud has been lifted from the club. Despite the feeling that Jack Grealish may yet leave the club, it feels a bit brighter to be a Villan.
Even if there was a cloud hanging over the Villa, it hasn't affected their pre-season. Three good performances so far have highlighted a warm-up campaign, where Villa seemed happy to play the ball on the ground and try new ideas out.
Now, Villa will take on Burton Albion as they ramp up their preparation for the new season. You can watch it all below.
