It truly has been a rollercoaster, this financial saga at Villa. There have been ups and downs, news incoming at breakneck speed, the lot of it. That news isn’t stopping either.
Fancy some transfer news? Trusted journalist, Alan Nixon, has revealed via Twitter that Aston Villa are preparing to bring players into the club. Give him a follow, and don’t be one of the few who bug him.

This means that despite the fact that the club are being sucked dry of nigh on six million pounds a month due to enormous contracts, Villa are still intent on signing the right players to stay competitive in the coming Championship season. The club will operate on a sell-to-buy policy, but Nixon says that Villa have decent players in mind to support youth players who will step up for the club next season.
We also have it on good, trusted word that there are a few senior players who are ready to recommit to the cause, come what may.
There is room for grounded optimism here. But we should still be wary that Villa are attempting to bring in players when reports are stating that assets must be sold. There is clearly some semblance of a plan here - as improvised as it may be.
Stay tuned folks, this wild ride is about to hit an even wilder peak, and very soon.
