Aston Villa’s under 23 team have rode a wave of success recently. Having taken home the Premier League cup after a dramatic penalty shootout victory, Villa now move onto a play-off final, that with a win, will see them promoted to the top tier of U23 football next season.
The final? Villa will be facing Brighton today, at 12pm in the UK at Villa Park. You can watch by heading down to Villa Park, or by streaming the game live, on this page, below.
Featuring future first-team stars like Keinan Davis, Callum O’Hare, Easah Suliman, Mitch Clarke, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Jake Doyle-Hayes among others, Villa are certainly no pushovers when it comes to youth football. They earned their place in this final with a dramatic victory over Reading U23, that left it a bit late, but not without reward for patient fans who were treated to a classic goal from Hepburn-Murphy to seal the deal.
