No more purple!

Did you miss the news about Aston Villa's latest kit? Yes? Well where can we find you and the rock you are living under?

You're not out of luck though. The new 18/19 kit designed by Luke Roper hasn't dropped just yet, but news about the upcoming shirt is still coming in thick and fast.

The latest tidbit comes straight from Aston Villa FC and their really decent 'Park Life' blog. You should be reading that, especially for these little hints that pry into the future of AVFC. If you've read today's release, you'll have heard all about Villa's latest kit.

No? Well, if we must spoil it for you, Villa's new home shirt will feature a new shade of claret following years of fan feedback that told the club that Macron and Under Armour missed the mark on the shade, with the latter seemingly deploying Villa in a purple kit. That's not a first for Villa, though, if we harken back to the Diadora days.

So, it will have a new colour! That's not all though, as the new shirt will also reflect on Villa's history with a 'nod' to club and Football League founder, William McGregor.

We've also heard that the home strip will feature stripes and that the away kit is a stunning white.

All in all, you can colour us excited.
