It’s here!
One of the biggest Second City derbies in ages has arrived, with massive gains to be made by both teams upon victory. A win for Aston Villa will secure their stratospheric rise into the Championship promotion scene, while three points for Birmingham City will go a long way towards saving them from the threat of relegation.
The managers of both teams had been nominated as the Manager of the Month for January in the Championship (with Villa’s Steve Bruce winning), and both teams are very much on the rise. Let’s just hope it’s Aston Villa that continue that rise after the final whistle is blown!
Note that a match thread in a separate post will be up soon, we’ll try a new thing with that.
As it is a televised tie - this match will not BE LIVE STREAMED on AVTV for an international audience. For future reference on AVTV, here’s all you need to know compiled by Phil Vogel. Don’t forget to get involved in the comments section below!
