Aston Villa 2017-18 player preview: Easah Suliman

Easah should find himself starting for Villa soon.

Aston Villa have found themselves with a strong bank of youth talent, and that is probably best epitomised by Easah Suliman.

Easah is the prototypical defender - strong, a set-piece threat, disciplined, calm, but he’s not scared with the ball at his feet. All this at 19 years old. Suliman was born and raised in Birmingham and is a generational talent - not just because of his abilities, but because of who he is. Easah is the first player from an Asian background to captain an England XI. Proud of his team, proud of himself - Aston Villa can have a lot of confidence in their future.

It’s funny that Nathan Baker left, only for Villa to have a ready made replacement waiting in the wings. It’s like the Universe has aligned. Expect Easah to be a bit better though - he’s quite the talent.
