As the Robert Snodgrass loan deal continues to drag on, there’s a few things going on in Villa world.

The ifficial Aston Villa Twitter feed has informed that Kevin Toner is moving on a season-long loan to League Two side Stevenage. The 21 year old Irish defender had seen first team action with Villa with four appearances in the Premier League in 2016, but has spent most of his time on pitch while on loans to Kidderminster in 2015, Walsall across 2016 and 2017 and Bradford City earlier this year.

Toner’s move will get him more time to participate on the pitch and allows for the possibility some more first team time can be given to Mitch Clark and Easah Suliman after their contributions against Wigan Athletic.

Congrats to the England U20s

In other news today three Villans are to make appearances with the England U20 squad as the previously cited Easah Suliman, wonder goal scorer Andre Green and—in a bit of a surprise—Keinan Davis were selected to participate. Congratulations are in order for the highly-touted Suliman and the first team fixture Green, both of whom have represented England before.

Davis’ inclusion comes after a highly rated performance against Norwich last Saturday that seems to have put him on the map beyond solely the purview of Bodymoor Heath. Davis’ star continues to surprisingly rise after his release from Stevenage academy in 2015 and spell with Biggleswade. Conor Hourihane has cited Davis’ ability to maintain possession as a factor in his hat trick against the Canaries
