Jack took a big blow during the friendly with Watford, and it’s quite serious

Aston Villa’s worst fears were confirmed just a few moments ago, with news breaking that Jack Grealish would be out for quite some time with a serious internal injury.

It was Grealish’s father, Kevin, who announced on his social media feeds that Grealish had suffered a ‘kidney bleed’ after receiving a high elbow during yesterday’s friendly with Watford. Grealish was down for a number of moments, seemingly winded. He did make it off the pitch and was set to return to action, but was wisely taken to hospital instead.

This might be similar to a hematuria, but it would be unwise to speculate right now based on the info we have. However, Jack has underwent an operation on the organ today and will be out for up to 3 months.

Of course, this is devastating news for Aston Villa, but health is more important and we are all hoping that this doesn’t develop into something serious for the Villa youngster. Get well soon Jack!
