Aston Villa will play Hertha Berlin in the final of the Cup of Traditions at 3pm UK time (just over an hour)
Aston Villa finished off a Duisburg side by three goals to nil in an extremely promising first-half performance against the second tier German team. Scott Hogan grabbed two goals after linking up well with Ahmed Elmohamady on the right. Andre Green slammed home a goal as well, following some fine work from Callum O’Hare. Jake Doyle-Hayes bossed the middle of the park as well. It is only pre-season, but that was some good stuff from Villa.
Hertha Berlin beat ten-men Malaga by two goals to one, and will be a much stronger opponent than Duisburg - meaning Villa will need to go above and beyond their last performance if they want to come home with the trophy.
