It hasn’t been that long, but Villa are back on TV screens and back on the playing field. After what looks to be a successful training camp in Portugal, Villa are ready to play some actual football now and gain a bit of practice before the new season.
However, they aren’t just playing one game - but two. Aston Villa will take on both Kidderminster and Telford away from home, fielding two separate teams. Both matches will be streamed live from Youtube. We’ll do our best to keep you updated, but we may only have one pair of hands and eyes for this - so we’ll choose to focus our attention on the match with the most action. If all the tech works, you should be able to watch the games below.
For the Telford Game:
Matija Sarkic starts in goal. Chris Samba lines up as an on-trial centre-half, while Nathan Baker pairs up with him. Jordan Amavi returns to Villa action at the back, while James Bree returns on the right. Albert Adomah, Henri Lansbury, Jordan Veretout (?!) and Andre Green fill out the midfield while Gabby Agbonlahor and Keinan Davis line up at the front.
Exciting.
For the Kidderminster game:
Mark Bunn is between the sticks. John Terry is at Wimbledon for some damn reason, so Micah Richards starts at the back. James Chester and Oscar Borg complete the defence. Birkir Bjarnason, Gary Gardner and Hourihane lineup alongside Aaron Tshibola in the middle (this could change, though). Ross McCormack and Scott Hogan lead the line from Villa in Kidderminster.
You can get involved in the conversation on Twitter, on Youtube and of course - below. It’s all live - so let’s make the most of it!
