Villa face relegated Premier League opposition for the second time in the form of Middlesbrough at Villa Park on the 12th of September, before a clash with Sunderland at Villa Park on the 21st of November.
On the 30th of September, Aston Villa face recently promoted Bolton at home as well -but have to wait before facing former League One opposition. The matches at home against Millwall and Sheffield United don’t come until the 9th and 23rd of December respectively.
Villa’s Boxing Day fixture is away against Brentford, but the New Year is brought in by a home game with Bristol City.
The Second City Derby will be held away at St. Andrews on the 28th of October, before Villa host the Blues on the 10th of February.
All of these fixtures are subject to change due to cup tournaments and other situations, of course.
