All of the action from a sunny day at Tamworth.

On a beautiful, sunny day at Tamworth FC’s ground The Lamb, Aston Villa Ladies used an impressive outing to beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1. The match was the fourth for Aston Villa in the FA WSL2 Spring Series, and they remain unbeaten, with two wins and two draws to their name now. Goals from Villa players Kerri Welsh, Maddy Cusack, and Tasha Baptiste were enough to overcome the one from Brighton’s Bronwen Thomas.

With the win, Villa slide into third place in the Spring Series standings, just two points behind Durham Women and London Bees, who are split right now by goal differential.

Aston Villa will take the pitch again against Everton Ladies FC on 16 April. The Toffees currently sit in fourth place with six points from three matches. Villa have four matches in total remaining during the Spring Series before a break will see them into the 2017-18 WSL2 season proper.
