It’s time to work on building a winning streak!
That feels weird to type. But Aston Villa, fresh off the heels of a 1-0 victory over Derby County, are looking to make it two in a row as they host Bristol City today. Bristol have been pretty rubbish this year, but over the weekend they held (then) league-leading Newcastle to a 2-2 draw at St. James’ Park, which is pretty darn impressive.
But Bristol will be without their star, Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham and his 18 goals this season, because he’s out with a thigh injury. (NB: See, Villa, that is the sort of player to bring in on loan from a big club. Not Sam Johnstone, Tammy Abraham.)
Add into this the fact that the match isn’t televised, and I rather fancy Villa’s chances.
