I think the promotion dream is officially dead, right? So now we’re just sort of playing for pride. And, since I am totally confident that Villa aren’t getting relegated, they are playing so that I don’t have to hear people whine about “OH GOD WHAT IF THEY GET RELEGATED AGAIN CAN WE BURN EVERYTHING?!”
Because I hate those people.
So a win against a team two spots below us in the table sure would be nice today. For pride and our own sense of self-preservation. Ipswich Town are a team are a team who are a lot like Aston Villa. They’ve scored two more goals, allowed seven more, and sit on 36 points just like Villa. They have 11 points from their last 10 matches, Villa have the same. In their last meeting, back in September, the teams fought (?) to a 0-0 draw.
It’s twin day at Villa Park, apparently. So grab all of the Freds and Georges that you know and bring them down to watch two sides who look alike at a quick glance play a match!
