Aston Villa head back to B6 for their first home game in what seems like an eon! Today, they welcome Sheffield Wednesday, one of the Championship’s ‘Big Dogs’ - but that doesn’t mean that Wednesday aren’t struggling at the moment.
They’ve gotten off to a slow start and it’s the other side of Sheffield that are enjoying the plaudits right now, and rightly so! United are stealing the spotlight - so jealousy and eagerness to revive themselves will be fuelling this Wednesday side throughout the season.
Apart from Wolves, there’s a genuine claim to say that right now, Villa are the best team in the league - winning games on a whim, seemingly. Whatever Steve Bruce is doing, he’s doing it well. However, he’s done this before - in streaks. Villa cannot afford to be streaky if they want to finish second, or first. A good win today will solidify Villa in the promotion hunt, for real.
Here’s how you can watch.
