Are Villa selling Gabby? No - but it makes sense.

Daily Mail is just throwing shit against the wall on deadline day. But what if?

UPDATE: According to the Brum Mail - “Agbonlahor won't be going anywhere, mainly because he has a torn leg muscle.” Consider this a warning, Daily Mail, you shithouse newspaper authored with the ink of 1000 lies.

Aston Villa are set for a deadline day clear out with Gabby Agbonlahor being the ‘surprise’ name in a big bunch of players according to the Daily Mail.

Agbonlahor seemed set for a new lease of life under Steve Bruce, but with his wing positions being taken away by Birkir Bjarnason, Albert Adomah and Jack Grealish and the return of Jonathan Kodjia who will lead the line for Villa - it might be that Agbonlahor’s time with the Villa is done.

Despite being a somewhat ‘able’ deputy in the absence of Kodjia and Ayew, it looks like Steve Bruce and co are happy to move the Villa stalwart on. Finally.

Agbonlahor seems to be back in fighting shape, but likely won’t see action with the mass of signings Villa have collected this month alone. He’s an expensive figure to have on the bench and from a financial standpoint, you can’t be paying that money to someone who won’t play for one reason or another. Even if he is a rejuvenated figure, the future of the club has to come first and not one soul is bigger than Aston Villa.
