Aston Villa aren’t playing around on deadline day.
After refusing to play ball with Middlesbrough who requested a large amount for Jordan Rhodes - Villa are set to pay an even large fee to secure Brentford’s Scott Hogan and the news comes from nowhere else than Deadline-Day Dictators - Sky Sports.
Aston Villa have agreed a fee in the region of £15m for Brentford striker Scott Hogan, according to Sky sources
Now - this is a large amount of money to chuck at a young striker - but one would do well to note the ‘Charlie Austin’ like stats of Hogan. Austin lit apart every single league on his journey to Premier League football and it seems that Hogan loves a goal just as much as the Southampton hitman.
After mucking around at non-league level for a number of years, Hogan found his feet at Rochdale and hasn’t stopped scoring since - only a cruciate ligament injury has held him back.
Aston Villa are a team who can provide him with serious supply, so we’ll see exactly what this lad can do, should he join Villa.
