John Percy has today reported that Villa’s Aaron Tshibola will be filling the Henri Lansbury sized hole in Nottingham Forest’s midfield for the rest of the season as a loan deal nears completion.
Tshibola to Forest done #nffc #avfc

Well - one would hope it’s a loan deal, right? Percy doesn’t mention it.
It’s fair to say that Aaron Tshibola hasn’t been given a fair crack of the whip since joining Aston Villa and despite a few good touches here and there, is finding himself out of favour at Villa Park, with Aston Villa now having an abundance of talented midfielders.
Tshibola? Meet pecking order.
Aaron won’t be able to get a game with Jack Grealish, Conor Hourihane, Birkir Bjarnason, Henri Lansbury, Ashley Westwood and Gary Gardner all vying for the midfield slots in Villa’s current lineup. That’s not his own fault, but Aston Villa suddenly find themselves rather rich in midfield. Game time for Aaron in the competitive relegation scrap that Forest are in will do him the world of good.
However, this highlights a worrying insight into Villa’s summer transfer plans with nearly every signing bar Kodjia and Adomah being moved out of the picture. We can be thankful for the influence of Steve Round for buying some real quality for Villa this time around!
Good luck Aaron and come back to us a better player!
