Alright, this is getting tiresome. Three losses in a row. No points in the month of January (or 2017, for that matter). And a nice little slide down the table. Nope nope nope. Not a fan at all.
Which is why today is a perfect day to pull out of a funk with a win at home. Against a team who have... well crap. Preston North End have won two in a row (in the league) and put in a decent showing in a 1-2 loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup. They’re four points ahead of Aston Villa and just six points shy of the promotion places.
This will not be an easy task. But if there is any solace to be had it can come from the fact that Villa have not lost at Villa Park yet this season. Six wins, six draws, and a big ol’ goose-egg in the loss column. So there is hope here, and it’s hope that we can all follow together! Here’s how!
