One of Aston Villa's most promising players, Jack Grealish has committed his future to the club, signing a new, four year contract with the club.

Aston Villa confirmed the news on Twitter, accompanied by a jazzy gif. Check it out:

No exaggeration, this news is TREMENDOUS for the club. Jack Grealish is one of the brightest prospects to have come through the club's youth academy in recent memory, and to keep him at the club for four further years is just as good a piece of business as any of the signings made over the summer.

Grealish has been at Aston Villa since 2001, and this deal is likely to keep him at Villa Park until the 2019/20 season. Of course, another team could bid for him between now and then, but this new contract arguably puts the club in a better position, should an offer come in. Grealish had this to say about the new deal, per Gregg Evans (Birmingham Mail):

Grealish has started the Championship campaign in fine form, scoring twice in the opening five games. He has reportedly returned from England U21 duty nursing an injury, though thankfully it doesn't seem too serious, and he will likely be back to fitness this month.

Here's to four more years!
