I wanted to come into this making a promise. I wanted to tell you that if Aston Villa traveled to Ipswich Town, got themselves into a winning position, and dropped points that we would not cover the next match. Instead we’d watch an old match on YouTube or something like that.
But the next match is against Newcastle, and somehow in the past year I have grown to hate that team. So no, we’re definitely going to cover that and Villa can go on toying with our hearts for no particular reason.
Instead, we’re here come heck or high water. Maybe this is the match that Villa can turn things around in (he said for the umpteenth time in five years). Ipswich are only four points ahead of us, after all, and well Villa are due for some good luck. So maybe today is the day!
