Aston Villa vs. Brentford final score: Villa drop points YET AGAIN

When is this going to stop happening?

I’m keeping this brief today because you’ve already read it three other times this season. Aston Villa had a lead over Brentford and decided to throw it away in the final minutes, securing only a draw.

Jonathan Kodjia opened the scoring with an absolutely brilliant solo effort in the first half. No, seriously, take a look at how lovely this was.

And from there, Villa controlled most of the first half. They looked good!

But we all know the script. Control the first half and wet the bed in the second. That’s what happened here, and Brentford finally made the home side pay in the 87th minute when John Egan managed to score and absolutely no one was shocked.

Two points dropped. Again.

Of note is the fact that Ross McCormack came off possibly injured after the half and Ritchie De Laet came off definitely injured in the second half.

Whee.
