Why didn’t anyone tell me that with relegation came playing ALL THE DIGGITY DARN TIME? We just played a little more than 72 hours ago and now we’re back. And we get to do it all again on Saturday. Good grief.
But alright, now that Aston Villa are determined to keep playing, let’s see if they can actually win again. Brentford currently sit in 11th and have three wins, one draw, and two losses to their name. They’ll want to lose this one if for no other reason than to make that record a nice neat palindrome. And letting Villa win would give us a 2-3-2 record. Another palindrome.
So come on, Brentford. Let us win. For the sake of order in the universe. But come on, Aston Villa, win. Don’t get yourself in a winning position and then fall asleep. Actually win. Get there, hold onto the three points, and close out the match. Because I’m not sure how many more dropped points I can take.
