Aston Villa 2016-17 player preview: Jordan Veretout

If reports are to be believed, Jordan Veretout could have won the Premier League with Leicester City last season. He is rumored to have turned down a move to Leicester in favor of joining Aston Villa.

Seeing as how he struggled at one of the worst Premier League teams of all time, he might not have broken into the Leicester setup last season. It still probably would have been nice to have been a Premier League champion.

He is now rumored to be headed out of Villa before the end of the transfer window. But if he does stay, there’s no reason to think he might be able to help out in the Championship. Villa are seemingly a much more settled club than they were 12 months ago.

Veretout was also highly touted for a reason. He has talent. If Villa are to go back up to the Premier League, Veretout still might have a use at Aston Villa
