They call him ‘Tish’ and he’s got a Gana sized hole to fill in Aston Villa’s midfield.
Luckily, ‘Tish’ has Gana sized boots.
Signed in the summer from Reading, Aaron Tshibola is another raw player in the mould of Gollini and Traore and has been brought to Villa because of the player he will become, not the player he is. And the player he is? Well, he’s not half bad.
Tshibola will certainly see a lot of action this year for Villa and will look to succeed where others, namely Yacouba Sylla and Leandro Bacuna, have failed. He needs to be the bombastic centre midfielder that can truly follow in Fabian ‘legless lizard’ Delph’s footsteps.
His potential playing time means we can seriously see the player Aaron will evolve into. That is, if it happens at all. We’ve signed players in the past who’ve failed to make the grade, but the smiling youngster will do his damn best to prove himself on and off the field that he’s worth it.
