His Aston Villa career so far has been marred by injuries, and Libor Kozak will be hoping to get an incident free campaign under his belt this time around.
The Czech international made a reasonably good start to his Aston Villa career in 2013, scoring four in his first 14 games, before suffering a freak leg break in training which due to complications, ruled the 27 year old out for over two years.
Kozak comes into this season fully fit, for the first time since joining the club, and though the injuries will have impacted on his ability, he still has something to offer this Aston Villa side going into the Championship. Good in the air, and better than Rudy Gestede with the ball at his feet, Kozak has the potential to cause problems for many defenders in the division.
Libor Kozak lacks the flair of Jordan Ayew and Ross McCormack, and won't see nearly as much game time as them. But as far as backup strikers go, Libor Kozak is perfectly serviceable. If he can avoid injury.
At this stage, that is a pretty big if.
