Transfer deadline day has arrived and after a busy summer, Aston Villa might still be looking for one more acquisition.
The big speculation is that Adama Traoré is heading to Middlesbrough with the Birmingham Mail reporting he´s heading there for a medical.
But more excitingly for us Villans is the rumor that Middlesbrough's own winger Albert Adomah might be heading the other way (source is the Daily Mail though so....).
The move would make logical sense, a winger for a winger. Adomah has scored 23 goals in 130 appearances for Middlesbrough, having played for Bristol City in the Championship beforehand. At 28 years old he´s not exactly one for the future, but he´s not over the hill yet either.
There are a few potential worries - one is the lack of a reliable source for this one, none of the Birmingham Mail or other Midlands correspondents seem to have heard that Adomah is coming our way. Another is that Adomah has appeared for Ghana and may be called up for the African Cup of Nations in early 2017.
But with the creative duties of serving the frontline currently falling entirely on the shoulders of Jack Grealish and Leandro Bacuna, Villa fans will be crossing their fingers that this one turns out to be true.
