Two clubs enter chase for Aston Villa’s Jordan Ayew

Please don’t go, Jordan.

After having it out with Aston Villa over Abel Hernández, Hull City look set to make a vengeful swoop for Villa misfit, Jordan Ayew.

After being attacked for his body language in Villa’s turgid defeat this weekend against Bristol City, many Villa fans have quickly adopted a position of hostility against the Ghanian forward and would likely be glad to see the back of him.

ESPN FC are also reporting that Frank McCourt’s Marseille are in the mix for Ayew.

Losing Ayew would be a blow to Aston Villa, but his position is being quickly made redundant by Ross McCormack, who simply offers a bit more than Ayew can provide. It’s also of note that Ross won’t suffer Ayew’s decision-making, having cost the Scot a huge chance against Bristol City. Simply put, the players are just too similar and Villa will lose Ayew for a big chunk of the season when Ghana head to Gabon to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations.

I’m personally hoping this doesn’t happen, but it’s a realistic move.
